Modern Slavery Statement

Introduction

SYNC Talent Solutions Ltd is fully committed to playing its part in eradicating modern slavery and human trafficking. Our commitment extends throughout our supply chains and business operations. We understand the importance of promoting ethical principles and practices and are dedicated to ensuring transparency in our own business and in our approach to tackling modern slavery throughout our supply chains, consistent with our disclosure obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We are committed to continuously improving our practices to combat slavery and human trafficking and to encouraging the same high standards from our contractors, suppliers, and other business partners.

Organisation's Structure

We are talent consultancy, operating primarily in UK. SYNC Talent Solutions Ltd has a global reach, with business activities spanning various sectors and industries. Our supply chain primarily involves the procurement of talent, partnership with client companies, and the use of third-party service providers to support our operations. Key components include:

  • Talent Sourcing: We source candidates globally, focusing on various sectors and industries. This includes engaging with candidates in countries and regions where there is a heightened risk of labour rights violations, particularly for low-skilled workers who may be more vulnerable to deceptive recruitment practices and exploitation.

  • Client Partnerships: Our services are delivered through partnerships with a wide range of client companies, from startups to multinational corporations. These relationships span various industries, including sectors known for higher instances of contract and temporary worker exploitation, underscoring the need for vigilant assessment and monitoring of labour practices.

  • Service Providers: To facilitate our recruitment processes and operations, we rely on third-party service providers, including software vendors for recruitment platforms, background check agencies, and outsourced administrative support. Each service provider relationship presents potential risks related to data security and compliance with employment laws, especially in jurisdictions with less comprehensive protections against modern slavery.

By pinpointing these critical elements of our supply chain, we commit to focusing our efforts on areas where the risk of modern slavery and unethical labour practices is most pronounced. Our aim is to ensure that all aspects of our recruitment business, from the sourcing of candidates to the delivery of services to clients, uphold the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct.

Our Policies on Slavery and Human Trafficking

We are committed to ensuring there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in any part of our business or our supply chains. Our modern slavery and human trafficking policy reflects our promise to act ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implement and enforce effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our supply chains.

Due Diligence Processes

As part of our initiative to identify and mitigate risk, we have in place systems to:

  • Identify and assess potential risk areas in our supply chains.

  • Mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our supply chains.

  • Monitor potential risk areas in our supply chains.

  • Protect whistle blowers.

Supplier Adherence to Our Values

We have zero tolerance to slavery and human trafficking. To ensure all those in our supply chain and contractors comply with our values, we have in place a supply chain compliance programme. This consists of:

  • Conducting due diligence on potential suppliers before allowing them to enter the supply chain.

  • Requiring all suppliers to attest that they comply with the requirements of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

  • Encouraging the reporting of concerns and the protection of whistle blowers.

Training

To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and our business, we keep abreast of the latest legisation and research. We also require our business partners to provide training to their staff and suppliers and providers.

Our Effectiveness in Combating Slavery and Human Trafficking

SYNC Talent Solutions Ltd uses the following to measure how effective we have been in ensuring that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in any part of our business or supply chains:

  • Use of labour monitoring and payroll systems.

  • Level of staff training and awareness.

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes our slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 2024.
